Function Overview
When you hear your own voice through headphones, it is usually because the monitoring function is enabled.
This function allows you to listen to your microphone input in real time during recording or streaming, helping you monitor levels, tone, and latency.
However, you may want to disable monitoring in the following cases:
-
When using OBS or other live-streaming software that already provides monitoring;
-
During voice calls, online meetings, or gaming to avoid echo or distraction;
-
When using external speakers, as it may cause feedback noise.
After disabling monitoring, your headphones will only output playback audio from your computer or software — not the live microphone signal.
