Maono Devices and Dual-PC Streaming Explained

Download

Running a dual-PC streaming setup means gaming on one computer while streaming from another. The main challenge is routing audio from both systems into a clean mix, while also sending the correct signals back to each computer.

A Maono audio device can act as the central hub of this workflow. With proper routing configured in Pro Studio, audio from your microphone, gaming PC, and streaming software can all be managed in one place, without requiring complex adapters or multiple audio interfaces.

Why this setup works

In many dual-PC streaming setups, users rely on multiple cables, mixers, or virtual routing tools to connect everything together. This can quickly become complicated and difficult to manage.

A Maono device simplifies the process by serving as the primary audio interface for the streaming PC, while allowing audio from the gaming PC to be captured and routed into the streaming environment. With Pro Studio, you can create multiple mixes for monitoring, streaming, and communication.

This makes it easier to control:

  • Microphone signal processing

  • Game audio from the gaming PC

  • Audio routing for streaming software

  • Headphone monitoring

Where everything connects

In a typical configuration, the streaming PC acts as the main audio control center.

Streaming PC connection

The Maono device connects to the streaming PC via USB-C. This connection carries microphone input, monitoring audio, and all routing control inside Pro Studio.

This is where you configure microphone processing, stream mixes, and monitoring mixes.

Gaming PC audio

Game audio from the gaming PC can be sent to the streaming PC in the following ways:

  • Connect the gaming PC’s USB port to the audio interface’s OTG port

  • Set the gaming PC’s speaker and microphone devices to the Maono device

Once connected, audio from the gaming PC will be transmitted to the audio interface.

How to connect everything

  1. Connect your XLR microphone to the Maono device.

  2. Connect the Maono device to your streaming PC using a USB cable.

  3. Route audio from your gaming PC to the streaming PC.

  4. Connect your headphones to the headphone output on the Maono device.

  5. Install Pro Studio on the streaming PC and configure the audio routing.

  6. In your streaming software (such as OBS Studio or TikTok Studio), select the Pro Studio Stream Mix as the main audio source.

What you hear vs. what your stream hears

Once everything is connected, Pro Studio allows you to create multiple independent mixes.

A typical dual-PC setup may look like this:

Personal mix

Game audio is the primary source, blended with your microphone.
This is the mix you hear through your headphones while gaming.

Stream mix

Your microphone sits clearly above the game audio.
You can apply VST plugins such as compression and EQ to ensure your voice remains clear during gameplay.

Each mix is independent, which means adjusting your headphone monitoring will not affect the stream audio.

Sending your voice back to the gaming PC

After the audio interface is connected, the OTG port will automatically send audio back to the gaming PC.

This ensures your teammates hear the same clean and clear microphone signal that your streaming audience hears.
