Q8What is the microphone’s battery life? When to charge it?

Battery Life: Approximately 30 hours on a full charge (tested under simulated usage: 15% RGB brightness, 15% gain, 15% noise reduction).

 Charge Status Indicators:

Battery ≤20%: The orange indicator light flashes twice every 15 seconds.

Charging: Orange light stays on around the knob.

Fully charged (power on): Orange light stays on.

Fully charged (power off): Light turns off.

b. Use a windscreen to reduce airflow noise.

c. Record in a quiet environment to avoid background noise.

5. Battery Life & Power Supply Issues

Q14Why does the microphone disconnect frequently or have insufficient power when connected via USB?

1.Avoid using overly long USB extension cables (recommended length: ≤3 meters) to prevent voltage loss.

2.For laptops: Use a USB port while the laptop is connected to a charger (avoids power limits in battery mode).

3.Replace with a powered USB hub to improve power stability.

Q15:Does the microphone support charging via a power bank? Can it be used while charging in wireless mode?

The microphone supports charging via a power bank.

It can be used while charging in both wired and wireless modes (orange light around the knob indicates charging):

6. Compatibility Issues

Q16:Why is the microphone not recognized by professional software (e.g., Adobe Audition/Logic Pro) after connecting to a Windows/Mac computer?

1.Verify your OS version meets requirements:

Windows: Windows 10 (version 1809) or later.

macOS: macOS 13.5 or later. (Older versions may have driver compatibility issues.)

2.Check system audio settings:

Confirm the PD100W is recognized. If not, re-plug the microphone and restart the software.

1.Reduce the “Microphone gain” slider via the Maono Link software (recommended initial value: 10-13).

2.Maintain an appropriate distance between the microphone and sound source (10-20cm; no closer than a fist’s distance) to prevent clipping/distortion.

8. Software Usage Issues

Q18:Why can’t I download/open the Maono Link software, or why does it crash frequently?

1.Verify your computer’s OS is compatible (see Section 3.3 for requirements).

2.Uninstall the software completely using the “Uninstall” program in the installation directory, then download and install the latest version.

3.Disable your computer’s antivirus software or firewall (to prevent process blocking).

4.Use the default installation path (C: drive).

9. Device Maintenance Issues

Q19:How to clean the microphone’s pickup head if it has dust or causes static?

1. Turn off the microphone’s power.

2. Use a dry, soft brush to gently remove dust from the pickup head surface.

3. Wipe the metal mesh with a cotton swab slightly dampened with anhydrous alcohol (ensure the swab is semi-dry to avoid liquid seeping inside). Wait for the alcohol to evaporate before use.
