When Using DGM20W in Combination
When using multiple microphones together in scenarios such as podcasting, live streaming, gaming, singing, or dubbing/voice recording, microphone monitoring can be adjusted more flexibly. The Receiver (RX) can connect to a maximum of two microphones, so there are multiple combinations and flexibility for monitoring output. We provide options: Mic(DGM20W-1), Mic(DGM20W-2), and Computer (or Smartphone). Usually, after checking the desired options, you can hear the audio from the selected devices through your headphones. Below are explanations for specific scenarios to assist you.
💡Note:Same-model desktop microphones usually display as DGM20W-1 and DGM20W-2, while different models will show their respective microphone names.
● Podcasting
During podcast recording, you typically need to hear the mixed output of multiple audio channels. Check Mic(DGM20W-1), Mic(DGM20W-2), and Computer (or Smartphone) to listen to the mixed audio.
● Gaming
When teaming up with teammates, you only need to hear your teammates’ voices and game audio. Check Computer (or Smartphone) to output the computer’s downlink audio through DGM20W’s monitoring jack.
● Live Streaming
For solo live streaming (using DGM20W-1 yourself), usually check Computer (or Smartphone) only.
If you have an assistant providing prompts, additionally check the assistant’s Mic (DGM20W-2) or a lavalier microphone T1 Plus. This allows the assistant to help you resolve live streaming issues as quickly as possible.
🔰Assistant Setup:On the second microphone’s settings page, under Mix Output, check only your microphone (Mic(DGM20W-1)) and Computer.
● Singing
When singing, you need to monitor your own voice and music accompaniment. Check the accompaniment audio from the Computer and DGM20W. If you have a backup singer, apply the same settings to their microphone (set the audio input to stereo mode below the level display for easier post-processing).
● Dubbing/Voice Recording
During dubbing creation, if you need to hear your real-time voice status, check only your microphone (Mic(DGM20W)) and uncheck Computer (or Smartphone) to avoid unexpected interference.
When Using T1 Plus in Combination
Monitoring output differs when two T1 Plus microphones are used together. Wireless lavalier microphones usually require the same settings, so we will apply consistent settings to both microphones on the settings page.
● Monitor Self
Hear the audio from your own microphone.
● Computer (or Smartphone)
Hear the audio output from the Computer (or Smartphone).
● Monitor Other
Hear the audio from the other microphone.
You can combine the desired monitoring modes according to the option descriptions if you need different audio mix combinations. By default, we have preset monitoring for all mixed audio.
⚠️Note:When the speaker is enabled, the Computer (or Smartphone) option will be unavailable.
