Sound Issues Q1: Noise / Electrical noise ("buzzing sound") / Ambient noise ("humming sound") 1. Close any third-party software and test using your computer's built-in local voice recorder. Lower the microphone gain.

2. Turn off mobile phones or other mobile signal devices to reduce noise interference. Keep away from electrical and electronic devices to avoid current interference. You can try changing the recording environment, such as a bedroom.

3. Dynamic microphones are easily affected by RGB/radiation interference. Please move away from such devices for testing. Turn off RGB lights on devices such as keyboards.

4. Please try muting the microphone, put on headphones for monitoring, and check whether the noise still exists. If there is no noise during monitoring, please replace the cable. You can use a phone charging cable or a cable with data transmission capability to check whether the cable is faulty.

5. Please change the USB port on your computer. Also try using a different device. You can connect the microphone to your phone. When recording with your phone, does the noise issue still persist?

6. It is necessary to check for noise sources in the environment and block them. For example, fans, other people's voices, etc. Maintaining a better acoustic environment is the most important part. If noise reduction does not work well with your mouse and keyboard, or if you cannot remove the noise source, you can enable our AI intelligent noise reduction. Before using the AI noise reduction feature, you need to select "Maono AI Microphone" as the audio input device in your computer's audio settings. Open the Maono Link software, find the "AI Settings" module in the upper right corner, and enable "AI Noise Reduction" and "Sidetone".

Please refer to the noise troubleshooting document:
https://faq.maono.com/docs/microphone-noise

If the problem still persists, please record a short audio clip and send it to us.
Electrical noise ("buzzing sound"): Check whether the microphone is too close to strong electromagnetic devices such as routers or induction cooktops. It is recommended to maintain a distance of at least 1 meter. Replace the USB cable or try a different USB port to eliminate line interference.

Ambient noise ("humming sound"): Enable the noise reduction feature on the microphone body or in the software. Use a windscreen to reduce airflow noise. Use the microphone in a quiet environment to avoid background noise interference.

dentify the type of noise → Address the issue based on the noise type → Change the environment → Change the device → Change the cable → Request an audio recording → If the issue cannot be resolved, proceed with replacement or refund
Q2: Low volume / Unclear sound / Muffled sound A notable characteristic of dynamic microphones is their typically richer low-frequency response. When using a dynamic microphone, you may feel that the sound is slightly muffled, especially in the bass frequencies. This is actually an inherent sound characteristic of dynamic microphones and is a normal phenomenon, not a product defect.

Please try the following:

1.Dynamic microphones need to be used within a distance of no more than 10 cm (4 inches). If the volume is too low, it is best to use the microphone close to your mouth.

2.Turn off the noise reduction feature. The higher the noise reduction level, the lower the microphone volume will be.

3.Please check the sample rate settings and adjust them to ensure compatibility: Right-click the volume icon → "Sound" → "Recording" → select the microphone you purchased → right-click → select "Properties" → "Advanced" → choose a higher sample rate.

4.Please open the sound settings, go to the Sound Control Panel, click on the microphone device and select Properties, then adjust the level to 100 in the sound settings.
Refer to Q2 and Q5 in the troubleshooting document: https://faq.maono.com/docs/PD300X-FAQs

5.For muffled or unclear sound, adjust the EQ settings:
https://update.maono.com/Html/PD300X/PD300X%20User%20Guide.html

After making the above adjustments, if the waveform amplitude in the audio analysis has already reached the maximum level for the dynamic microphone, but the volume still does not meet the customer's expectations, the dynamic microphone cannot satisfy the customer's needs. In this case, you can guide the customer to return the product and purchase a condenser microphone instead.
Adjust computer volume → Adjust sample rate and properties in Control Panel → Adjust microphone body volume → Adjust microphone gain in software → Turn off noise reduction → Request an audio recording → Audio peak has already reached maximum → Volume does not meet customer expectations → Guide customer to return the product and purchase a condenser microphone
Accessory Issues Q3: Stand broken / Shock mount broken / Accessory damaged 1. Please provide your Amazon order number. Please send it as a PDF or a screenshot attachment of the order. (Use this if the customer has not sent it.)

2. Please provide the serial number (SN) of your microphone body. The serial number is usually located on the back of the microphone body. (This applies to shock mount breakage issues.)

3. Please provide photos of the damaged part(s) so that we can identify the specific component and initiate the after-sales service process.
Request order number → Request SN (serial number) code (specifically for shock mount breakage) → Request photos of the damage → Within warranty period: send a replacement (Out of warranty: send a purchase link, customer buys it themselves)
Software Issue Q4: How to use the custom EQ function 1.Open the Maono Link software and find "Equalizer" in the "Scenes" section.
The software offers preset modes (e.g., Original Sound, Podcast, Gaming, Recording) for direct use.
Click "Add" to manually adjust the 10-band equalizer (frequency range: 20Hz-20kHz) to enhance bass, reduce noise, etc., as needed.

2.Refer to the EQ settings documentation: https://update.maono.com/Html/PD300X/PD300X%20User%20Guide.html
You can directly refer to the after-sales documentation for the steps.
Q5. How to Use AI Noise Reduction? AI Noise Reduction Not Working 1.Before using AI noise reduction, select "Maono AI Microphone" as the audio input device in the computer's audio settings.
2.Open the Maono Link software, find the "AI Settings" module in the upper right corner, and enable "AI noise reduction" and "Hear-Self".
If the function still doesn't work after correct settings, close and restart the software.
3.Please refer to the troubleshooting document Q11: https://faq.maono.com/docs/PD200X-FAQs-gZFr
Logistics Issue Q6: Logistics issues, returns Regarding package tracking, since our store uses the FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) logistics model, Amazon support is responsible for shipping goods from FBA warehouses and handling package delivery and returns for customers. We do not have access to view this information. For logistics issues, you will need to contact Amazon customer service for assistance.

Here's a guide on how to find Amazon customer service: On the Amazon homepage, scroll to the bottom, click "help," then click "Something else," and follow the on-screen instructions to find Amazon customer service.

Identify the issue Q7:The microphone was identified as KIMICRO_USB_AUDIO Regarding the issue you mentioned about the PD200X being incorrectly detected as KIMICRO_USB_AUDIO. This is an issue due to a failed upgrade.

I have prepared a download link for you that you can open and download directly. Download and run the tool, follow the prompts, you can easily solve the device recognition problems you are currently encountering.

https://update.maono.com/limit/pd200x_ktReset_tools_en_V1.2.exe

If you encounter any problems with the download, please feel free to contact us!
This applies to the PD200X. If other microphones also experience this issue, please contact our engineers.
Hardware Issues Q8:Mute button not working Regarding the issue you described, may I ask if you have downloaded and used the Maono Link software? Does the mute button within the Maono Link application successfully control the microphone's mute function?

Based on your issue, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Please try gently rubbing a small metal object (such as a gold-colored metal shim) against the mute button a few times. Then, check to see if the functionality has been restored.

2. Please try testing the microphone in a different, open environment. The device's performance may be affected by surrounding electromagnetic interference, which could potentially prevent it from functioning correctly.
This applies to the PD100X、PD100W
