DM40 Live Gen2 User Guide
1. Basics
The Basics section includes the most commonly used features, such as Recorder, Gain, Headphone volume, Monitor Output selection, and Bluetooth switch.

Microphone Gain
The gain supports 0-20 level adjustment. You can adjust the microphone gain according to your usage habits. Typically, if you are farther away, the gain needs to be set higher. If you are closer, a smaller gain can also achieve an appropriate volume level.

Headphone Volume
The headphone volume supports 0-100 level adjustment. You can adjust the headphone volume according to your usage habits.

Monitor Output
Check the audio sources you wish to monitor from the current microphone. In different creative scenarios, you can flexibly adjust the monitor output configuration. After checking the corresponding device option, the audio from that device will be output through the headphone monitor.

Bluetooth Switch
DM40 Live Gen2 features Bluetooth Backing Track functionality. Turn on Bluetooth and find the "Maono DM40 Live" device to stream Bluetooth accompaniment.

The accompaniment played from the Bluetooth device can be output to the audience or recording device along with the microphone audio.
You can control the accompaniment volume in the Scenes section to achieve your desired effect.
2. Scenes
The software provides four preset scene modes: Chat, Sing, Game, and Recording. Each scene is matched with targeted audio feature combinations. You can switch scenes with one click according to your current usage needs, freely adjust various parameters, and create your own personalized sound profile.

Scene Parameters Saving
The parameter configurations of the four scenes are independent and saved separately. All audio effects and parameter settings adjusted in any scene will be automatically synced and saved to the corresponding scene. When switching scenes, the system will automatically load the historical configuration of that scene, allowing you to quickly switch to the corresponding usage state without repeated adjustments.
Noise Cancellation
DM40 Live Gen2 Noise Cancellation provides three modes: Slight, Moderate, and Aggressive. You can select the appropriate level based on the current ambient noise conditions.
You can also switch to the Customize noise cancellation mode. DM40 Live Gen2 provides 10 levels of adjustment.

Reverberation
DM40 Live Gen2 provides you with reverberation functionality, supporting Preset Reverb and Custom Reverb.
Preset Reverb: The product presets 10 reverb levels, allowing you to quickly adjust the reverb level according to your personal needs.

Custom Reverb: If the preset effects do not meet your needs, you can enable the custom mode. We provide 3 savable custom configurations, supporting adjustment of professional parameters such as Reverb Time, Reverb Volume, and Predelay for more refined reverb effect tuning.

Bluetooth Backing Track
How to use the Bluetooth Backing Track feature:
1. Turn on the "Bluetooth Backing Track" switch in the corresponding scene in the software, and ensure that the DM40 Live Gen2 microphone maintains Bluetooth enabled.
2. In the Bluetooth settings of your phone, computer, or other external playback device, search for and connect to the Bluetooth device "Maono DM40 Live".
3. After successful connection, play audio on the external device, and the accompaniment sound will be synced into the microphone audio chain, ready to be used together with your vocals.
Backing Track Volume Adjustment
You can adjust the Bluetooth Backing Track volume. We provide 0-100 level adjustment.

Ducking
The Ducking function automatically adjusts the volume balance between vocals and Bluetooth Backing Track, ensuring that vocals remain clear and prominent. When you speak, the Bluetooth Backing Track will automatically lower its volume; when you stop speaking, the background music will automatically restore to its original volume, eliminating the need for manual volume adjustment.

Compressor and Limiter
We provide basic Compressor and Limiter functionality. Under normal circumstances, simply adjusting the outer Threshold can achieve the desired effect. For further adjustment of Compressor and Limiter parameters, you can click the "More" icon to enter the advanced settings window and adjust parameters such as Ratio, Limiter Ratio, and Release time.

EQ
Each audio effect configuration within a scene includes a graphic EQ. Presets provide HPF, LPF, and 5 Bands. By dragging a Band, you can boost or cut the gain at a specified frequency to adjust the microphone's sound effect. Each Band defaults to Peaking filter and Q value. If you need to adjust them manually, you can modify the parameter values in the Band properties window. In future updates, we will open up more adjustment parameters.

Click "+New" in the custom EQ window to create a custom audio effect. You can modify the configuration name in the drop-down list.
