Common symptoms:

The iPhone can record voice after connecting the microphone, but the volume is very low.

The app recognizes the microphone, but the microphone is not actually being used.

The microphone is connected properly, but the recorded sound seems distant.

Changing settings in the app does not affect the audio input.
How to fix:
Make sure the microphone is connected, then open Voice Memos (recommended), or open Camera and switch to Video mode.
Swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center, then tap Camera Controls at the top. Under Input, select Same as System. The microphone should then work normally.
💡
1. These settings are available only after the Maono microphone is connected.
2. Opening the recording app / Camera app is required; the control options will only appear on iPhone once the app is open.
