I. Driver Installation Guide

1. Is Driver Installation Mandatory?

It is recommended to install the MaonoProStudio2x2 supporting software for PS22 Lite. This software supports sound card virtual channel routing and enables more flexible audio track management.
If you do not install the routing driver software, the device can also be directly connected to the computer as a basic USB audio device to use basic audio functions normally.

2. Correct Driver Version and Download Path

3. Installation Steps & Notes

  • Installation Steps: After downloading the installation package, unzip it and install it with one click according to the wizard. It is recommended to use the default installation path on the C drive.
  • Notes: After installing the routing driver software, the original USB audio device of the sound card will be overwritten by the virtual channel device. Subsequently, in the computer's system audio and live recording software, you need to select the corresponding virtual channel as the audio input/output.

II. System Audio Settings (Windows / Mac)

Windows System Settings

Without Routing Software Installed

After connecting the sound card, open the computer's system audio settings and set:

  • Default Input Device: Microphone-Maono ProStudio 2x2 Lite
  • Default Output Device: Speaker-Maono ProStudio 2x2 Lite At the same time, be sure to turn off theaudio exclusive mode of the input and output devices to avoid the audio channel being occupied or blocked by other applications.

With Routing Software Installed

Connect the sound card and open the MaonoProStudio2x2 software. In the system audio settings, specify the input and output audio to the corresponding virtual channel you need to use. You also need to turn off the device's audio exclusive mode to ensure the normal flow of audio across multiple software.

Mac System Settings

The official routing software does not support Mac systems for the time being. After connecting the sound card to the Mac, directly select the following in the Mac sound settings:
  • Input Device: Microphone-Maono ProStudio 2x2 Lite
  • Output Device: Speaker-Maono ProStudio 2x2 Lite Then the basic audio configuration is completed.

III. OBS Studio Core Settings Tutorial

Q1: How to Add an Audio Input Device?

  1. Complete the sound card hardware connection and basic computer system audio configuration in advance.
  2. Open OBS Studio and click Add Source in the 「Sources」 window.
  3. Select Audio Input Capture → Create New.
  4. In the Device drop-down menu, select your PS22 Lite original device / corresponding audio virtual channel to complete the addition.

Q2: Why Can't I Select Line Input?

  1. With Routing Driver Installed: The virtual channel of the software will overwrite the original USB line channel of the sound card, so Line Input cannot be selected in OBS. Please directly select the corresponding virtual audio channel for use.
  2. Still Can't Select Without Routing Driver Installed: It is most likely due to poor USB contact or abnormal underlying driver recognition. First, re-plug the sound card, replace the computer's USB port, and restart OBS and the computer to try again; if it is ineffective, open the computer's Device Manager, find Maono ProStudio 2x2 Lite in 「Sound, video and game controllers」, uninstall the device, then re-plug it and restart the computer to fix it.

Q3: Which Audio Device Should I Select in OBS? Recommended Settings Path

  • Without Routing Software Installed: Directly select the sound card's original USB audio device.
  • With Routing Software Installed: Select the sound card's dedicated virtual input channel.
  • Recommended Default Channels: Input Maono MIC In 1/2, Output Maono HP Out 1/2

IV. Common Fault Troubleshooting

Q1: OBS Cannot Recognize the Device / Line Input Option Does Not Appear

OBS audio input is compatible with both original line input and virtual channel input. If the option does not appear, first check whether the connection between the sound card hardware and the computer is normal, then confirm whether the PS22 Lite sound card device can be normally recognized in the Windows system audio panel.

Q2: The Device Can Be Selected, But There Is No Sound During Recording/Live Streaming

  1. First, check the system privacy settings to confirm that OBS has obtained the computer's microphone usage permission.
  2. Check other background software to see if it is occupying the sound card's audio input channel.
  3. Return to the system sound settings and turn off the exclusive mode of the sound card's input and output devices to lift the restriction on audio preemption by applications.

Q3: Abnormal Function After Driver Installation, Unable to Use Normally

  1. Confirm that the driver installation package is the latest matching version downloaded from the official official channel.
  2. Uninstall the current abnormal driver, clean up residual files, restart the computer, and reinstall the corresponding driver to solve the problem.
