Does PS22 Lite Support Bluetooth, Reverb, or Noise Reduction?

PS22 Lite does not support Bluetooth, built-in reverb, or noise reduction.
It is an audio interface designed for recording, and audio effects should be added in your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).

What DAWs Are Available and Where to Download?

Common supported DAWs include, but are not limited to:

PreSonus Studio One
Cockos Reaper
Ableton Live
FL Studio
Apple Logic Pro
Steinberg Cubase

You can download them from their official websites.

What Is the 3.5mm Jack on PS22 Lite Used For?

The 3.5mm TRS output mirrors the main output signal and can be used to connect headphones for real-time monitoring.

How Do I Connect a Smartphone to PS22 Lite?

You can connect your phone to PS22 Lite via the USB-C port.

Note:
On iOS, only iPhone 15 / 16 / 17 and newer models are supported.

Power Indicator Does Not Light Up

PS22 Lite is powered through the USB-C connection to your computer or mobile device. Please ensure the connection is stable.

Hearing Static or Buzzing Noise While Speaking?

  • Avoid interference: Keep phones, routers, and RGB lights away from the interface and microphone (dynamic mics are sensitive to magnetic fields);

  • Check cables: Replace the XLR cable for testing;

  • Adjust gain: Set the Gain knob around the 2–3 o’clock position, not at maximum;

  • Laptop users: Unplug the power adapter and test using battery power.

Why Is the Audio Distorted?

When the Gain indicator turns red, clipping (signal overload) occurs.

Solution:
Lower the Gain so the indicator only flashes yellow at the loudest level.

When singing high notes, keep a greater distance from the microphone.

Hearing Echo or Delay in Headphones?

This happens when software monitoring and hardware monitoring are both enabled.

  • Hardware monitoring: Direct Monitor provides zero latency;

  • Software monitoring: Monitoring in Cubase/Audition introduces latency and is only recommended when you need to hear plugin effects in real time.

Solution: Disable monitoring in your recording software and use Direct Monitor only.

Recording Waveform Is Too Small?

  • Increase gain: Dynamic microphones usually require 70%–80% Gain;

  • Get closer: Keep the mic within 10 cm for proper pickup.

What’s the Difference Between Headphone and Monitor?

Monitor:
Controls the volume of the rear L/R outputs (speakers).

Headphone:
Controls the volume of the headphone output on the interface.

How to distinguish and use the interface of PS22 Lite

1. Microphone/line input (computer device name MIC1) - XLR combination socket. Connect microphone or line level input. Supports XLR and ¼ inch (6.35mm) sockets. Connect the microphone using an XLR plug; Connect the line level input using a TS or TRS ¼ inch (6.35mm) plug. To protect the circuit, 4-inch (6.35mm) microphone input is not supported. Please use XLR-XLR cable to connect the microphone.

2. Instrument Input (Computer Device Name MIC2) - Supports 4-inch (6.35mm) TS plug input.

3. Monitor output L and R-2x ¼ inch (6.35mm) TRS sockets for active speakers; Supports ¼ inch TRS (balanced connection) or TS (unbalanced connection) plugs.

4. USB-C - connects to a computer or mobile device while providing data transfer and power.

5.3.5mm headphone jack - Use a 3.5mm TRS or TRRS plug to connect headphones or earphones. Please note that microphone input for headphones is not supported. The socket is located on the right side of the device.

How to distinguish the light indication and functional status of PS22 Lite

6. Microphone/line (computer device name MIC1) and instrument (computer device name MIC2) gain knobs and LED indicator lights - Use the corresponding knobs to adjust the preamplifier gain of microphone/line input and instrument input. LED has three colors: white when connected to the input, pink when the signal is close to clipping, and red when clipping. To prevent clipping, reduce the gain and keep the input in the green and pink areas.

7.48V Phantom Power Switch and LED Indicator - Press the switch to enable or disable the 48V Phantom Power for microphone input. When Phantom Power is enabled, the LED indicator light turns white. Please note that phantom power can only be enabled when connecting an XLR microphone. Usually, only condenser microphones require the use of phantom power. It is important to avoid turning on phantom power when not needed, as it may damage the microphone. If you are unsure about the type of microphone, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer for confirmation.

8. Direct monitoring switch and LED indicator light - simply press the button to enable or disable real-time monitoring of microphone and instrument inputs. When enabled, the mix of microphone input and instrument input will be transmitted to the left and right channels of the headphones and monitor output. The LED indicator light turns white, indicating that the director's listening function has been enabled.

9. Monitor level adjustment and LED indicator light - Use this knob to adjust the monitor L and R output levels at the rear of the device. The LED indicator light turning white indicates that the PS22 Lite is powered on.

10. Earphone level adjustment and LED indicator light - Use this knob to adjust the level of the headphone jack on the right side of the device. LED indicator light displays device status:
Blue: PS22 Lite is powered on, but no data connection detected.
Green: USB data connection detected.
Purple: USB data connection detected, device in instrument live streaming mode.
