Product Functions
1. Connection
Connect your microphone to your phone via a USB-C cable.
Open the Maono Link APP, and a microphone authorization prompt will pop up for the first use. Click "OK" to enable the microphone control functions. If authorization is denied or revoked, you will be unable to connect to Maono Link and configure the microphone settings.

2. Mute Control
Tap the Mic icon (located on the far right) to instantly:
● 🔇 Mute the microphone
● 🔊 Unmute the microphone

3. Microphone Gain
The microphone supports both manual and automatic gain adjustment modes to meet different usage requirements.
● Manual Gain: Drag the slider to adjust the microphone input gain, with an adjustable range from -18dB to 18dB.

● Automatic Gain Control (ALC): Automatically adjusts the microphone gain to ensure balanced sound output and prevent low volume or overload distortion. Three gain levels are available: Short Distance, Medium Distance, and Long Distance. Select the appropriate level based on your speaking volume and distance from the microphone.
⚠️Note: Enabling Automatic Gain Control will affect the performance of the compressor and limiter, so these two functions will be temporarily disabled.

4. Noise Reduction
The PD400X Gen2 supports two noise reduction modes: Preset Noise Reduction and Custom Noise Reduction.
● Preset Noise Reduction: Offers three noise reduction levels—Slight, Moderate, and Aggressive—to adapt to different noisy environments.

● Custom Noise Reduction: If the preset modes do not meet your needs, you can manually adjust the noise reduction level in Custom Noise Reduction mode, with an adjustable range from ndB to mdB.

5. Reverb
Reverb function is provided, supporting both Preset Reverb and Custom Reverb modes.
● Preset Reverb: 10 preset reverb levels are available for quick adjustment based on personal preferences.

● Custom Reverb: If the preset effects are insufficient, enable Custom Mode. 3 groups of savable custom configurations are offered, allowing you to adjust professional parameters such as compression threshold and compression ratio for precise reverb tuning.

6. Compressor & Limiter
Basic compressor and limiter functions are provided. In most cases, adjusting the outer threshold will yield ideal results. For more precise adjustments, tap the "More" icon to enter the advanced settings window, where you can modify parameters such as compression ratio, limiting ratio, attack time, release time, and threshold.

7. Scenes
Multiple preset sound effect configurations are available, calibrated according to the product's features. Custom configurations are not yet supported on mobile devices. If you need to customize the configuration, please use the desktop version of Maono Link, which provides a full suite of graphical adjustment tools.

8. Microphone Monitoring
The PD400X Gen2 is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone monitoring jack for real-time microphone monitoring, and supports multi-channel sound mixing to meet your needs from solo creation to multi-device collaboration.
Headphone Volume
Adjust the monitoring output volume of the current microphone with one click.

Monitoring Output
Check the audio sources you want to monitor through the current microphone. You can flexibly configure the monitoring output based on different creative scenarios. After checking the corresponding device option, the sound from that device will be output through the headphones.
● PD400X Gen2: Monitor your own voice.
● Phone: Monitor background music, game audio, or call sounds (automatically disabled when phone speaker is activated).

9. Electronic Pop Filter
Enabling the electronic pop filter function helps reduce the impact of plosive sounds such as "p" and "b", aspirated sounds such as "t", "k", and "h", and high-speed airflow noise caused by close-distance recording on the audio quality.

10. External Output
When External Output is enabled, sound will be played through the phone's built-in speaker. When disabled, it switches to headphone playback. You can connect 3.5mm headphones to the microphone's monitoring jack for audio monitoring.
